TOPIC- ONLINE DATING.

Shock horror my dissertation is on online dating, after being a lover of all dating shows [love island, celebs go dating, first dates] you name it i’ve watched it. Having been a user of dating apps myself and being in the university environment where pretty much all of my single friends were also on dating apps it made me look at how we date today. Speaking to family and friends I wanted to explore how dating has evolved over time not just because of technological developments but also how it’s adjusted socially. With my big question being, ‘has dating lost it’s romance?’.

I never would have thought I’d do my dissertation on dating but honestly researching this topic has been one of my favourite projects I’ve worked on. Not only have I enjoyed the research stages but developing my own brand, Squeeze, as an outcome for it has been something I’ve loved and something that I’d seriously consider pursuing beyond university.
